Liner notes:
Though not strictly speaking conceived as a full-blown concept album from the start, each track on this record explores an aspect of sadness, from melancholy to full-blown hopeless despair.
WARNING: SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR HEADPHONES.
Due to heavy work on stereophony and volumes and the many layers of sounds often involved, it is not recommended to listen to this album casually on loudspeakers, especially since it's not mastered yet. High-end Hi-Fi systems may pull it off but it's better to play safe and dust off your headphones.
To maximize the experience, ? strongly suggests that you dim the lights, sit back in a comfy armchair or better yet lay on your bed, put your headphones on, light up a big fat joint, close your eyes and play this album loud. ? is wishing you a nice suicide.

A little history:
? began his artistic questionings as a thrash metal guitar player, but feeling more of a composer than a player, ? soon found himself too limited soundwise and at the same time bored by the perpetual cycle of rehearsals, so ? asked himself : How can this enigmatic punctuation mark solve the problem? The answer came in the form of a computer circa mid-1997. After getting used to this new tool and experimenting for a while, ? completed this first album in 2000.
Fun fact:
In the early years, because of some hardware restrictions, ? was unable to sample records, so he found source material wherever he could, mainly from PC videogames (in these times, most game sounds were directly accessible as .wav files on the CDs. Good old days!). Therefore, most of the samples on this album are heavily processed game sounds, including a whole bunch from Quake, which remains the best First Person Shooter to date, 18 years after its release. In fact, only the last track on the album includes actual record samples.

I am a french electronic musician influenced by industrial rock and dark ambient. I began my musical life as a thrash metal
rhythm guitarist but switched to electronica as a solo artist for several reasons: I got fed up with the routine of rehearsals, felt too limited soundwise within the frame of a metal band and wanted to delve more into composition. I'm currently working on several projects....more
You need this because I'm on it! Joke aside, this remix album features one of the most darkly unsettling works I've ever done. Plus, it's my very first mastered and "officially" released piece. The ?uestion Mark
A definitely unconventional "virtual" band worth checking out. This double-EP is half original tracks, half remixes made by people from Indaba Music, including Yours Truly. The ?uestion Mark
Because they're my long-time buddies, because they're cool, because they're crazy and because they need your money. An insanely intense album featuring the elite of underground hip-hop. The ?uestion Mark
